I have to say that I'm not too sure I like it!

That's all for now. I'll be checking in soon.

Speckles New Name

It's taken over two weeks but after lots of thought her new name is Nyx after the Goddess of Night. Shes so stunning and never shy to make an appearance after the sun goes down.

In the last two weeks she's put on a whole 4 grams in weight. Kinda a big deal when she was only 16 grams when we bought her home!!

Here she making an appearance just for you-

This is her home, the space is all hers for couple more weeks until she gets a roomie. We've reserved another little lady currently called Demi who will be joining her when she's big enough.

You can just about see her poking her head out the barrel in the middle!

So we had today off work as my Hubby wanted to go to the midnight launch of a game he's been dying for .... Gears of War 3. I thought I'd join him with a day off to do some crafting.

My weekly craft challenge week 6 is completed although if I get time I'll be adding more to it! :-) yay 2 more wreaths! Lol I've been experimenting with different methods of making flowers and I've perfected two the third was a disaster!

I'll let you know if I complete any more.

Weekly Craft Challenge Week 5!

Wow week five already! This week was time for another wreath. A very good friend of mine thinks that I should start selling them. I love making them but my house would be full of them before long. So this is my first wreath for retail -

Its hard to tell from this photo but half is made with organza ribbon and the other with wool.

I also started a few others to finish of during the week -

On Saturday Harry and I went to a wonderful haberdashery called Hansons in Sturminster Newton. I have to say it's a crafters heaven, full of fabrics, accessories, tools, gadgets, patterns and so much more! I bought some ribbons and wreaths (hence the above) and a few other little things.

We wandered around the village and stumbled across other little shop which I so want to own called Agnes and Vera. The sold such a variety of things from Cath Kidston, gift cards and toys. I couldn't resist these so here's my bag of goodies -

This so cute traditional gingerbread man cutter -

The cutes little loaf cases which I'm going to have to use for mini carrot cakes -

And also these lush little heart shaped baking foils, perfect for little sticky ginger cakes -

On the subject of baking Harry gave me some lush cake cases he bought from Ikea, how great are these-

That's all for now people! Another weekend come and gone :-(

Weekly Craft Challenge 4

Yesterday I completed my craft challenge but didn't get time to post it - sorry.

For Christmas (I know nearly 9 months ago) my Hubby bought me an amazing clock for my craft room to put inspirational photos in. I have only just got around to printing the photos off :-/ I know I'm a bad wife!

This is the finished item -

I love it and can't wait to hang it - best get drilling!

Work was so hard today, I came home and started hunting online. Shame it never leads anywhere!

I'm back!!

So I'm back from an action packed extra long weekend break in London. I'll go into more detail with some photo's when I get a bit more time.

I managed to do my 3rd Weekly Craft Challenge before we went away. As an extra I made my friend some bunting from vintage fabrics for his new apartment. I didn't get a chance to photograph it but once he's got it up (if he even likes it!) I'll take some pictures for you.

This evening I picked up a new baby Leopard Gecko she hatched on 23/06 on my friends birthday! She currently weighs as on today a whole 16g! The name the guys at South West Geckos gave here is Speckle I'm not sure if that's going to change as yet. Here she is -

That's all I have time for right now! Sorry!
